Diana Pierce

With more four decades as a news anchor, reporter, and supporter of numerous charities, Diana Pierce has captured the hearts of viewers across the region with her insight, sincerity, and passion. She started her career in radio in New Hampshire before moving into television at stations in Durham, New Hampshire; Norfolk, Virginia; and Fresno, California, before finally joining KARE TV (then WTCN TV) in 1983.
Though she has received many awards throughout her career, she is most proud of her report “ALS: The Joe Dilts Story,” which received a National Merit of Achievement Award from the National Muscular Dystrophy Association. Diana is a dedicated health and fitness reporter and has guided the public on walks encouraging viewers to “get out and get fit.” Partnering with the Twin Cities Marathon, she created the Diana Pierce Family Mile, where thousands have joined her each year. Diana is also an accomplished singer and has released three CDs. She donates her time helping to raise funds for Children’s Heartlink, the Women’s Auxiliary for the Minnesota Symphony Orchestra (WAMSO), the Minneapolis Heart Institute Foundation, and the Animal Humane Society, to name a few. Whether on the air or lending her presence to an event or a cause, Diana brings a touch of class to every occasion.
